At the Annual Banquet on Saturday, November 9th the Builders Association of Northwest Pennsylvania (BANWPA) announced winners of the 2019 Awards of Excellence.
An Erie home was recognized for the New Construction Energy Efficiency and Sustainability category, as the year’s most energy-efficient residential property built in Northwestern Pennsylvania. The award, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Energy Efficient New Homes Program, was presented to Maleno Builders.
Once again, Maleno partnered with Operation Christmas Child to pack 500 shoeboxes for needy children around the world. Maleno first became involved with this Samaritan's Purse project five years ago when someone at her church mentioned it to Natalie Washburn, Broker/Owner. "When I heard that many of these children have never received a gift, I knew we had to be a part of this wonderful organization," said Natalie.
Hundreds of people attended and marched in the 2019 McDowell Homecoming Parade, including Maleno.
When Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania announced they were observing Hunger Action Month in September, the Maleno Property Management team immediately hopped on board. Hunger Action Month is a time for people all over America to stand together with the nationwide network of food banks to fight hunger. It’s a month to spread the word and take action on the hunger crisis, and dedicate ourselves to a solution.
