Maleno Property Management Joins Forces with Residents for a Heartfelt Donation to the Erie City Mission

Erie, PA – Once again, Maleno Property Management has embraced the spirit of generosity during National Random Acts of Kindness Week, rallying its residents to support the Erie City Mission. Residents from all four of Maleno’s Erie apartment communities—Lake View Apartments, Scenery Hills Apartments, Shadow Pines Apartments, and The Village on Pacific—joined forces with homeowners from South Pointe Condominiums to make a meaningful impact.

The campaign, which encouraged donations of essential items from the Erie City Mission’s needs list, resulted in an outpouring of goods, including laundry detergent, hygiene products, water, and other necessities. In addition to the collected items, several monetary contributions were also made, further strengthening the mission’s ability to serve those in need.

On hand to accept the donations were Brian Johansson, Chief Executive Officer of the Erie City Mission, and Erin Layden, Director of Development. Representing Maleno Property Management for the delivery were Natalie Washburn, Property Manager, and James Washburn, Director of Finance. Natalie, who serves on the Board for the Erie City Mission, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from residents.

“It’s truly heartwarming to witness the kindness of our community,” said Natalie Washburn. “The generosity shown by our residents and homeowners reminds us all of the power of coming together to help those in need. Every single donation plays a role in restoring hope and uplifting lives.”

Brian Johansson echoed that sentiment, emphasizing the impact of the donations. “The support from Maleno Property Management and its residents is invaluable to the Erie City Mission,” he said. “These contributions help us provide critical resources to individuals and families facing hardship. It’s incredible to see the community unite in such a meaningful way.”

Beyond this donation drive, Natalie and James Washburn are also co-chairing the upcoming “Broadway on the Bay” Gala, a highly anticipated fundraising event expected to further bolster the mission’s programs and services.

This act of kindness is just one of many ways Maleno continues to give back to the community. Their ongoing support of the Erie City Mission underscores a commitment to compassion, generosity, and positive change. With each donation and every shared effort, they demonstrate that kindness is not just a moment—it’s a movement.
