Maleno Marches in 2019 McDowell Homecoming Parade
Hundreds of people attended and marched in the 2019 McDowell Homecoming Parade, including Maleno. This is the third year for team Maleno to participate in the parade, with two of their branded vehicles and 23 employees and family members. "We were excited to be invited back again as a parade participant," said Natalie Washburn, broker/owner of Maleno Real Estate. "As alumni of McDowell, we're proud to join in one of the Trojans' traditions. It's exciting to see so many from the community turn out and support the school." Along with the usual parade candy, Maleno distributed the latest fad color-changing cups and dog treats for the canine attendees.
The parade was led by the Millcreek Township School District Superintendents along with the McDowell ROTC. Participants proceeded along Homestead Ave, over West 27th St, south on Caughey Rd and ended at the McDowell student parking lot. The parade lineup included 41 groups of floats, vehicles, and walkers.
The Maleno family is a strong supporter within the Erie community through participatory events and philanthropic activities, including the Maleno Family to Family Fund.
