1st Annual Maleno Community Block Party in Erie, PA
The inaugural Maleno Community Block Party kicked off Tuesday evening, June 26th, with food, music, games, and fire trucks. The block party also had Face Painting by Rachel, music from DJ Tony B Productions, and a Turnout Gear contest by the West Ridge Fire Dept's volunteer firemen, in addition to letting the kids of all ages climb into and on the fire truck.
Over 150 people turned out for the event from Maleno's apartment communities including Lake View, Scenery Hills, Shadow Pines, and The Village on Pacific. Natalie Washburn, Owner/Property Manager said, "We are so pleased to bring residents together in our communities. The turn-out was great, so we'll be making this an annual event. People have a choice with where they make their homes, and we truly appreciate them putting their home and trust with us."
The event was held on Jamestown Dr, inside The Village on Pacific, with the street being closed off on both ends. Hoola hoops, corn hole games, lawn games, children's foot races and hill climbing, and good conversation were just some of the activities. Food was provided by Twin Realtors, Aimee Pfleger and Angie Rinn; beverages, snacks and entertainment were provided by Maleno. Those fresh, thick, juicy hamburgers took a while to cook, but were worth the wait! DQ ice cream sundaes topped off the pleasures of the palate!
Plans for the 2nd Annual Maleno Community Block Party are already underway!
